Direct payments total $2.7 million since the casino opened. Since the casino opened May 15, it has generated nearly $107.9 million in gaming revenue and nearly $6.5 million in tax revenue for the city. The direct payment for October will be $421,031, bringing the October revenue total to nearly $1.43 million.
The City of Danville also receives direct payments as part of an agreement with Caesars Virginia. Gaming tax revenue for the City of Danville amounted to $1 million. The Virginia Lottery reports that gaming revenue totaled $16.84 million for Danville Casino in October, which was the casino’s fifth full month of operation.
